EPR Trainer
Fixed term, 37.5 hours per week

For the Trust, our EPR is much more than a digital version of written notes. It will bring about a transformation to the way we provide care to patients and we're looking for energetic, forward-thinkers to join the team. We will 'go live' with our new EPR in September 2024.
The Trust is already acknowledged as a pioneer in the delivery of digital healthcare, with its award-winning digital care hub delivering care round-the-clock care homes, prisons and people in their own homes.
We are seeking to appoint 2 x EPR Trainers.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to contribute to planning, design and delivery of complex training, advice and instruction to groups of clinical and non-clinical staff according to training needs analysis, assist with thedevelopment and production of detailed end-user training, reference materials, and competency tests. In addition, you will work alongside clinical informatics, improvement, change and learning teams to engage clinicians and managers in the design and delivery of EPR training and developing programmes for awareness raising, informing and engaging colleagues across the Trust.
You will be suitably qualified possessing a degree level qualification and/or equivalent experience of working in the NHS and have proven experience using NHS clinical systems.Experience of working with Cerner Millenium EPR is advantageous. You will have excellent planning & organisational skills, and good interpersonal skills at all levels, and be able to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
To be successful you will need to have good knowledge of an IT (Information Technology) Clinical Systems environmentand be prepared to undertake intensive learning of the EPR system to be implemented.
About us
This EPR programme for ANHSFT will become a third Trust in the joint Cerner Millennium EPR system already in use at Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust and Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust: Current functionality includes:
- Patient Administration,
- Accident & Emergency,
- Order Requesting & Result Reporting,
- Electronic Prescribing & Medication Administration,
- Clinical Documentation
- Health Information Exchange (providing information flowing from Primary Care, other secondary care providers, regional and place based health and care records from multiple providers)
- Clinical Decision Support
- Maternity (currently BTHFT only)
This role provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with our neighbouring trusts to learn from their implementation, work alongside their BAU EPR team and leverage the Airedale implementation to support optimising the instance.
