Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

We are currently recruiting for a vacancy within this Speciality. The new post holder will join the expanding team of Gastroenterologists at Airedale General Hospital to help support an increased capacity and wider sub-specialisation of gastroenterology services in line with our state of the art Endoscopy Department.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to appoint a permanent consultant but we would consider appointing on a locum basis for the right candidate. An applicant with experience in Liver Disease or Upper GI cancer would be particularly desirable to help further develop services. However applicants with other interests would also add value to the team. He/she will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven teaching ability. Experience in developing services and in working with teams will be an advantage. A higher degree is preferred but not a prerequisite.

About us

There is no commitment to the acute combined medical and elderly medicine on-call rota expected. However there are plans with the above and existing post holders to provide a GI bleed/gastro rota on call.
