The post holder will lead and manage a 0-19 skill mixed team within Northumberland 0-19 Service
The successful candidates will play an integral part in the development and evaluation of the 0-19 service with a key responsibility for a specific area related to our Key Improvement Priorities and supporting staff to deliver high quality services for families living in Northumberland.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for providing clinical leadership and management of teams and ensuring delivery of commissioned activity in line with the Area Team and Public Health Commissioners service specifications and the national Healthy Child Programme and public health outcomes framework.
To act as a strong role model, leading the development and provision of excellence in clinical practice, supporting and respecting staff to develop and strengthen practice by innovation and leading the implementation of practice and service improvement. Providing highly specialised advice in relation to the care of children and their families.
To support the development and implementation of service development, standard setting, clinical audit and benchmarking.
To be the key point of contact for allocated GP practices in the team/teams area as appropriate communicating highly complex information. To develop and deliver co-operative working arrangements with GP services that support healthy outcomes for children and their families and facilitate partnership working across Primary Care and other partner organisations.
