Deputy Workforce Information Manager

Job summary

The post holder will work within the umbrella of the Workforce Information Team situated in the HR Resourcing team. The Workforce Information Team is responsible for providing information for the management of HR metrics and for rolling out and supporting the implementation of the Manager Self Service functionality of ESR.

The HR Department is part of the Trusts wider Corporate Directorate which includes other functions such as Finance, Payroll, Risk Management, IT, etc.

Main duties of the job

To support and deputise for the Workforce Information Manager to ensure delivery of a high quality Workforce Information service.

Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of information within the Trust's Digital Workforce Systems such as ESR, but not limited to.

To lead on further implementations of the ESR Manager Self Service functionality with the support of the Workforce Information Manager.

Provide line management to colleagues in the Workforce Information Team.

To escalate any service issues to the Workforce Information Manager.

  • A Degree or equivalent experience/qualification in a relevant subject
  • Extensive experience of using ESR or Oracle based systems.
  • Experience of working to deadlines
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Advanced Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, Vlookup) & SQL databases

Desirable

  • Substantial experience of extracting, analysing, interpreting and presenting complex data to produce high quality reports.
  • Experience of providing advice and support to managers and staff on workforce issues.
  • NHS experience in an ESR, Payroll, HR or Workforce Information setting.
