Specialist Occupational Therapist - Complex Rehabilitation

Job summary
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work As part of the neurological occupational therapy service who are a well established, supportive multidisciplinary team. The team, is lead by our Principal physiotherapist who is part of a wider service servicing neurology, stroke and amputee patients across the hospital and community.
This post will also cover in-patients at our in-patient Lascelles Complex Rehabilitation unit at times of staff leave
As a specialist we are looking for applicants who are passionate about neurological rehabilitation and possess relevant experience in cognitive and physical rehabilitation in Occupational Therapy.
Applicants will be HCPC registered and have a min of 18 months post graduate experience, have a valid work permit and previous experience in the NHS. Evidence of post-graduate training in rehabilitation and / or stroke and on-going personal CPD is desired. Prior experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency work with complex cases is not essential but is desirable.
Main duties of the job
You will demonstrate solid clinical skills as you will be working independently in outpatient and community settings as part of the Occupational Therapy service. You will be part of a small outpatient team of qualified staff and rehabilitaion prationers and together you will provide and ensure the required standards of the care/service to rehabilitation and the management of patients with long-term and newly acquired neurological conditions..
We have a structured in service training programme and appraisal process in place to actively promote ongoing learning. Across all the services we have very experienced clinicians who are passionate about developing others and themselves.
