Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 (experienced Band 5 will be considered) midwife to join Harrogate and District Community Midwifery team.

Harrogate is a high performing maternity unit and we are seeking highly motivated individuals to contribute and develop the delivery of high quality, evidence-based midwifery. We are incredibly proud of our maternity service and we offer a high level of support to our midwives. We are a small, friendly and welcoming team.

This post is for a midwife to work within our Community Team in the Harrogate and surrounding areas. We actively support you to develop and enhance your skills in all aspects of midwifery.We would provide supernumerary time in our Harrogate maternity inpatient unit to ensure you are well integrated in our wider team and refresh your intrapartum skills for attending homebirths.

The successful candidate should have a good understanding of the national agenda within maternity and a clear commitment to helping the trust achieve this.

**Please note, our Community Midwifery team operates a home-birth on call rota, and the successful candidate(s) will be expected to be on call at least once per week**

**Please note this role requires an NMC PIN. OSCE training is not available**

Main duties of the job

Care for women and birthing people in the community setting providing high quality antenatal and postnatal care, and intrapartum care for those choosing to birth at home.
