Job summary

We are delighted to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated Clinical Support Worker to develop their clinical skills and assist in providing first class patient care.

You must be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high standards of patient centred care and be a professional role model; ensuring patients receive a positive experience in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team.

It is essential that you are flexible and have a good understanding of the challenges and skills required to support patients, families, carers and staff. You must also demonstrate excellent organisational skills. You must be forward thinking and be open to developing and progressing new ideas and innovative ways of working.

The SROMC opened in March 2014 and provides integrated day case SACT (chemotherapy), out-patient clinics and access to Health & Wellbeing facilities. The health and wellbeing area incorporates our Macmillan Patient Information Manager and a Macmillan Welfare and Benefits Adviser. This provides excellent opportunities to develop services to support patients through treatment, with education programmes, complementary therapies, and support through their treatment and onwards to recovery and survivorship.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment. We would really encourage informal visits to SROMC.
