Urgent Care Practitioner

Job summary

We are seeking positive, proactive and enthusiastic staff to join our existing teams in the ongoing development and expansion of our urgent care services across Harrogate ED and Ripon UTC.

Working as a UCP you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of clinical care in the management of patients presenting with minor injuries and illness. Acting within your professional boundaries you be responsible for leading and supporting delivery of the minors stream services across both Harrogate and Ripon sites. You will will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team and partner organisations to ensure seamless and timely care and the best possible patient experience.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsibility for providing unscheduled care in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment of patients presenting with undifferentiated minor injury and illness
  • Initial assessment and onward referral of acutely unwell patients
  • Contribute to meeting the identified Key Performance Indicators within the time frames identified.
