Job summary

The Analytical Services Team is looking for a Power BI Administrator to join our dynamic team. Power BI is currently being rolled out across our organisation, meaning you'll be playing a crucial role as we transition from our existing reporting suites and strive to deliver best-in-class Business Intelligence services. This is a really exciting time to join us, where your ideas will be welcomed and encouraged.

You'll be using your in-depth knowledge of Power BI, keeping abreast of the latest technological changes. You'll be a subject-matter expert helping to define Power BI standards and ensuring that best practices are widely adopted across the department and the wider organisation. As part of this, you'll mentor staff, sharing your skills and knowledge.

Main duties of the job

Part of a specialist team of multi skilled information professionals committed to the service delivery and continual improvement of a fit for purpose customer focused information service.

Support the design, production and implementation of comprehensive data and information reporting systems for organisational wide reporting by managing and maintaining the Power BI platform.

Responsible for overseeing and optimising the Power BI platform to meet the Trust's business intelligence needs, including managing user access, configuring data refresh schedules, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring data accuracy and security.

Support users with advice and training to increase adoption of Power BI solutions.

Manage Microsoft Reporting Services during the service phase out and shut down.

Help to direct and change perspectives on information collection and analysis across the organisation, promoting the use of good information to inform effective decision-making.

Support the integration and development of core information processes and services required by the Trust's Corporate and Clinical Directorates.
