Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a midwife to join to join Harrogate Maternity Services as a Digital Midwife on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

The successful candidate should have a good understanding of digital innovation in maternity and a clear commitment to helping the trust achieve this.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of this role is to lead on supporting the use of digital technology within the maternity department and to play a key role in the functioning and support of a maternity electronic system to support this service. There may be some consultation on wider Trust systems though focus will be primarily as midwifery champion for digital systems.

The post holder will have clinical midwifery expertise and an expert knowledge of the implemented Maternity EPR system, and a good working knowledge of associated IT systems within the Trust.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that clinical practice, supported by digital technology meets professional standards. This will be done through the provision of clinical expertise, professional direction and effective leadership.
