Job summary

The Learning & Development Officer is a newly established role within Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, created to support the Learning & Development team in delivering essential training and educational programs. This position plays a pivotal role in coordinating induction programs, apprenticeship initiatives and maintaining accurate training records. By providing high-quality administrative and logistical support, the Officer ensures the smooth delivery of training and development activities across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

  • Facilitate and coordinate the Trust's induction programs, including Corporate and Clinical Induction.
  • Support apprenticeship programs by tracking progress, managing records, and liaising with training providers.
  • Maintain training records in systems such as ESR and Learning Lab, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Act as a primary contact for routine enquiries from staff, managers and apprentices, escalating complex queries as necessary.
  • Process purchase orders, manage training-related expenses and update training information on the Trust's intranet.
  • Serve as a deputy for the Learning & Development Advisor when needed.
