Due to a temporary promotion within the team, we are delighted to be able to over a 12 month post to provide efficient and effective confidential clerical support to the Specialist Children's Services team.
This post is full time, 37.5 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months
Main duties of the job
Provide clerical support to clinical staff in Specialist Children's Services (SCS) and at the Child Development Centre in Harrogate (CDC). Please see job description for more information .
About us
The post holder is supported by the administration lead for Specialist Children's Services, and will receive regular supervision. An annual appraisal and 6 monthly reviews will be undertaken. The post holder will have support from colleagues based at the Child Development Centre and will complete tasks unsupervised on a day-to-day basis, with work allocated within the limits of the job description. The post holder will be able to consult with senior staff as required.

Job responsibilities
- Provide clerical support to clinical staff in Specialist Childrens Services (SCS) and at the Child Development Centre in Harrogate (CDC).
- Cover of Reception & Paediatric Outpatient admin duties.
- Responsible for dealing with telephone calls, which may be sensitive in nature, from clients and external agencies and communicating this information to the relevant teams.
- Typing of reports, letters and emails as required.
- Registration of new patient referrals on Systm1 and maintaining up to date filing systems within CDC.
- Organise clinics ensuring appointment letters and other correspondence is sent in a
timely manner.
- Manage and collate electronic diary system and accesses electronic diaries for staff.
- Monitor office stock levels and submit electronic requisitions for office supplies, therapy
and clinical equipment.
- Responsible for administrative tasks, scanning and inputting of data as requested onto electronic systems.
- Ensure office notice boards are kept up to date.
- Prepare papers for meetings and take minutes when required.
- Provide cover for admin staff in other areas of the service if required.
- Provide sickness and absence relief cover for other clerical staff.
- Any other duties as required and as appropriate to the grade.
