Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Service Hours are 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday, however hours for this role are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.

Salary:£22,816 to £24,336 per annum

We are looking for an organised & dedicated individual to join our Recruitment Team in the role of Senior Administrator.

The successful candidate will have recent administrative experience, strong customer service skills, experience of data input and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. The successful candidate should thrive working independently and also in a team environment.

Previous Recruitment experience would be beneficial, however it is not essential for the role. Prospective applicants should have some knowledge or understanding of NHS recruitment/pre-employment checks and experience working in a busy administrative/office role.

The role is very busy, varied and can be quite challenging at times but also very rewarding. If you think you could fulfil this role, we would love to hear from you.

This role is primarily based on site at Harrogate Hospital with temporary opportunities to work from home 1 day a week, where possible. The service operates between the hours of 08:30-17:00 so prospective applicants must be able to work within these hours.

Main duties of the job

This role is varied but main duties will include:

  • Dealing with Recruitment queries
  • Providing advice and support to candidates and recruiting managers
  • Advertising vacancies
  • Carrying out pre-employment checks
  • Managing own and joint inboxes
  • Booking new starters onto induction
  • Issuing contracts
  • Producing data and reports
  • Providing advice and support to senior and junior colleagues
  • Providing supervision to junior colleagues

About us

The Recruitment Team provide a vital function to the Trust and are responsible for carrying out the full Recruitment process of staff, from advertising vacancies on NHS jobs to issuing contracts and booking new starters onto induction, in line with NHS Employment Guidelines.

The team provide advice to Recruiting Managers and applicants on all aspects of recruitment and are fully responsible for carrying out all pre-employment checks for new and existing staff in a safe and timely manner.The team support all Directorates within the Trust with their recruitment campaigns and provide advice and training where necessary.

This role is primarily based in the Recruitment Office based in Harrogate Hospital with temporary opportunities to work from home 1-2 days a week, where possible.
