This role involves working closely with the Trust Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Strategic Lead and specific AHP leads. We are a small friendly inclusive team who manage therapies in the hospital and community and strive to provide quality and compassionate care for our patients.
The post holder is responsible for providing an efficient, high quality administrative service across the Therapy Services Departments. At all times promoting effective practices as these relate to the welfare of patients and clinical staff within the trust.
The post holder will work autonomously and provide a full range of administrative support to the AHP teams within LTUC and PSC, offering both strategic and clinical support.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for providing an efficient, high quality administrative service across the Therapy Services Departments. At all times promoting effective practices as these relate to the welfare of patients and clinical staff within the trust.
The post holder will work autonomously and provide a full range of administrative support to the AHP teams within LTUC and PSC, offering both strategic and clinical support.
The post holder will demonstrate the ability to liaise with all members of staff, both internal and external to the trust and demonstrate the ability to:
- Act as a point of contact for AHP enquiries, contributing to the delivery of an efficient and professional service.
- Arrange and manage meetings within the department, to include preparing agendas, collating information, taking and transcribing notes. To lead on specific administrative tasks, as agreed upon within professional meetings.
- Use initiative and always maintain a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy without access to immediate line supervision.
- To use effective time management, planning and organisational skills, remaining calm when responding to changing priorities.
- To support the AHP leads to achieve their objectives and the objectives of the department.
- To manage specific projects within the department, as appropriate.
- The role supports AHP Strategic Lead, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Dietetic Leads in PSC and LTUC directorates.
