Job summary

Are you a passionate administrator or secretary who wants to make a difference? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced admin assistant to support the Quality Team here at HDFT. Based in Harrogate, the successful candidate will provide high quality administrative support to the team, playing a crucial role that supports all functions. This post holder will utilise excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, and an adaptable, flexible approach to produce work of a high standard.

To succeed in the role, you should have exceptional organisational skills and a strong eye for detail, which will equip you to work closely with our quality and management teams.

This is a busy role that requires energy, enthusiasm and commitment. Workload management and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide effective co-ordination and administrative support in relation to the implementation of the quality agenda.
  • To work as an integral part of the Quality Team to embed streamlined administrative processes that optimise the team's capacity and capability.
  • Use appropriate technologies to manage diaries efficiently, making appointments, arranging meetings and interviews as required. Undertake secretarial duties for senior staff within the Quality Team.
  • To deal with highly confidential information safely and securely.
  • The post holder will regularly attend a variety of senior meetings, and will write minutes of a high standard.
  • To fulfil the role of meeting secretariat in the preparation of agendas and circulation of relevant papers/minutes to participants.

  • GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English or Key skills at level 2 in numeracy & literacy (or equivalent)
  • Typing or word processing qualification at RSA ii (or equivalent)
  • Previous administrative experience or equivalent within a busy work environment
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and managing sensitive and confidential information.

Desirable

  • IT qualification (ITQ at level 2 or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience in a healthcare or civil service environment
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of the NHS and Trust's systems and structures.
  • NVQ at Level 3 or above in Business Administration (or equivalent)
