Would you like a job that you enjoy, in a department where people strive to provide excellent quality care? Applications are invited for the position of LED Tier 2 at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a replacement six month fixed term post in Elderly Medicine.

You will be supported by a team of 11 Geriatricians and 7ACPs (3 of whom are trainees)

The post would suit a doctor who would like to develop a degree of sub specialisation and would offer an opportunity to gain additional experience before applying for a higher specialty training post.The Elderly Medicine team are an approachable and supportive team and this would be an excellent opportunity for clinical development, whilst being part of a growing service. We would continue to support educational development and provide educational supervision.

Harrogate tops a recent small trust research league table, and research interests are supported by a team of dedicated research nurses.

About us

The Spa town of Harrogate is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, with excellent facilities in the area for sports and outdoor activities. There is a healthy nightlife with a number of popular bars and restaurants within the town centre and the city hosts a number of annual events such as The Yorkshire Show, The Annual Flower Show and several sporting events.

Major cities Leeds and York are conveniently close. The area also offers a choice of outstanding local schools.

The Trust has an excellent Postgraduate Medical Centre which carries a full programme of events including and offers access to a Medical Library and a Clinical Skills Lab with high fidelity simulation facilities. The post is non-training; however, opportunities for development will be available.
