Job summary

DUE TO GRADUATE SUMMER 2023 OR ALREADY QUALIFIED AND LOOKING FOR BAND 5 ROLE?

A permanent graduate role has become available in the Harrogate Podiatry Team following a successful internal promotion. The successful applicant will be provided with mentorship through our well established preceptorship programme and will be given opportunities to develop their practice in biomechanics, diabetes and high risk and nail surgery from an early stage.

Main duties of the job

Good diagnostic and clinical skills are essential to this role as well as good organisational and time management skills. Candidates should have the ability to work on their own and as part of a team.

The Harrogate Podiatry team is based at Harrogate District Hospital and provides Podiatry services in 8 clinical locations as well as an acute service and home visits. Due to the rural geographical locations of our locality any applicant must have appropriate transport to get to any of these locations.

  • oBSc Degree in podiatric medicine
  • oCertificate in local analgesia administration
  • oHCPC Registration as a Podiatrist

Experience

Essential

  • oEvidence of diagnostic skills to manage and assess foot pathologies
  • oKnowledge of basic Biomechanic

Desirable

  • oInvolvement in health education packages
  • oTeam working
