Job summary
We are currently seeking a full time Senior HR Advisor to predominantly support our Community and Children's directorate at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT). The role enables the post holder one day a week home working.
The role will involve some travel across the directorate's geographic footprint as and when required.
The postholder will work within the operational HR team which is tasked with ensuring that the strategic and operational HR agenda is effectively delivered within allocated resources.
Please note that candidates will be expected to do a presentation as part of the interview/selection process, details of which will be sent to applicants who successfully pass the shortlisting stage of the process.
Main duties of the job
Working with the HR Team, within a pooled resource model, to deliver and maintain HR services across the organisation whilst ensuring that workloads and competing priorities are managed effectively.
To provide a full range of comprehensive and professional Human Resources advice and support services to stakeholders within the Trust.
To support managers in achieving their business objectives through the fair and effective management of their employees and reducing corporate liabilities through effective risk management.

- To communicate complex and sensitive issues on a regular basis and they will often have to communicate information in large group settings.
- To act autonomously and with limited supervision to provide professional Human Resources and support on a range of issues involving increasing levels of complexity, including attendance management, disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment and staff performance and conduct issues.
- To lead on complex investigations into bullying and harassment, disciplinary issues and grievances and provide coaching and support to managers involved in the process.
