Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated Nurse to join the Northumberland 0-19 service, working as part of the Public Health Pillar.
The post holder will work as a part of the 0-19 service team, supporting the 5-19 team in delivering the Healthy Child programme and targeted interventions to the school aged population and their families. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive plan of individualised care for our service users within a community setting.
Main duties of the job
The Public Health Staff Nurse role is to support the delivery of the Health Child programme as part of the one team approach, planning, delivering and evaluating an efficient and cost effective service for an identified population of school aged children. You will be delivering the National and Local public health agendas in response to identified health and social need, working with partner agencies to ensure best outcomes for children, young people and families.
Capturing the voice of the child and the child's lived experience is an important part of our assessment, so the successful post holder will need to be passionate about working with children and young people, and have excellent communication skills.
