Job summary

Reporting to the Business Planning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for the successful mobilisation and implementation of agreed projects within the Trust's Business Development Team. You will assist the Business Development Manager to manage mobilisation on behalf of the Trust and in accordance with all appropriate requirements, regulations, guidance and obligations.

Main duties of the job

The principle responsibilities of the post are to: -o Assist the Business Planning and Development Manager inthe successful mobilisation and when required, the decommission of the Trust's services ensuring it is prepared and produced in accordance with the requirements of the mobilisation plan.o Responsible for the monitoring and overseeing of the delegation of work tasks to managers and staff who make up the Mobilisation Teamo Take forward project work as necessary which contributes to the delivery of the strategic objectives set in the Operational Plan.o Engaging with commissioners on key aspects of the delivery of the mobilisation plano Lead on the coordination of the mobilisation plan, board and team to ensure milestones are met

About us

The Planning and Business Development Team is located within the Finance Team in the Corporate Directorate. The function of the team is to take forward the business and capital planning function across the Trust, as well as leading on business development for the organisation.

Job responsibilities

The principle responsibilities of the post are to: - Assist the Business Planning and Development manager in the successful mobilisation and when required, the decommission of the Trusts servicesensuring it is prepared and produced in accordance with the requirements of the mobilisation plan. Responsible for the monitoring and overseeing of the delegation of work tasks to managers and staff who make up the Mobilisation Team Take forward project work as necessary which contributes to the delivery of the strategic objectives set in the Operational Plan. Engaging with commissioners on key aspects of the delivery of the mobilisation plan Lead on the coordination of the mobilisation plan, board and team to ensure milestones are met Liaise with Consultants, Directors, Senior Managers and staff affected by TUPE in the development and implementation of the mobilisation Plan. You will also be required to work with the Clinical Directorates to support them in the preparation and implementation of the successful delivery of service.Communicating highly complex, sensitive information to a variety of different stakeholders. Work with the Business Development Manager to review the estate and take the lead for the preparation/agreement of any leases and licences as appropriate. Undertake analysis of options/solutions in the mobilisation and decommissioning of services. Support Operational Directorates in the mobilisation and/or decommissioning of services following the outcome of tender or new business development opportunities. Lead the lessons learnt during and following mobilisation and decommissioning of services. Maintain an effective electronic and paper based filing system for storing and retrieving information. Prepare, develop and agree relevant correspondence, including mobilisation Board reports,and other strategic documents as appropriate. Participate in regular meetings, coordinating follow-up actions and assisting in the preparation of agendas. Deal with telephone enquiries, taking action and responsibility where appropriate and relaying information to the relevant manager in aprompt and concise manner. Undertake project work relating to Business development, clinical transformation and service redesign schemes as appropriate in conjunction with the Clinical Directorates. Coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams for key development projects for Business Planning and Business Development Act as authorised signatory for agreed expenditure within the mobilisation budgets Manage the bid development/mobilisation software, ensuring that bids are completed and submitted within agreed timescales. Act in a professional manner representing the Trust at a senior level to internal and external stakeholders and key delivery partners. Escalate appropriately and in a timely manner when issues arise which may impact on the delivery of the mobilisation plan Follows and implements policies/ procedures for own area which may impact on other areas.
