This post is being offered as a Band 4 to 5 progression or Band 5 depending upon the candidates experience.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated registered Pharmacy Technician to join our forward thinking team working within our clinical services team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing patient flow across our hospital; completing drug histories, counselling patients and actively managing discharges utilising our near-patient dispensing facilities.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work with the speciality pharmacists and all members of the MDT to co-ordinate all aspects of the patient's medicines related journey, communicating effectively to ensure a safe, seamless and integrated transfer of care for our patients.
This role will be integral in providing the best care for our patients through service review and quality improvement work.

- To perform a range of dispensing and medicine supply functions in order to provide an efficient pharmaceutical service to wards and departments.
- To train new pharmacy staff
- Identify, prioritise and lead Quality Improvement work
- To contribute to the weekend, late night and bank holiday rota

- Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council
