Job summary
To provide a customer services function to end users in the Trust in relation to products ordered via NHS Supply Chain (NHSSC)
To assist in the operation and management of the materials management system replenishing and reviewing stocks to an agreed level using data capture units.
To assist in the management of local stock and print management systems
To assist in the systems set up, maintenance & user training of NHSSC systems including solo and e-dc.
To assist in the receipt and distribution of goods & services.
To assist in providing an efficient & effective procurement and supply service to the Trust in respect of goods and services ordered by the Trust supplies Department
To assist in a range of duties associated with the oracle cloud purchase order system.
To deal with users of the Supplies service in a professional & customer focused manner. To act as an Ambassador for the Supplies Department with Trust colleagues, suppliers & external agencies.
Main duties of the job
Operational - Carry out weekly materials management top ups and download to NHS supply chain using electronic data capture units to a range of wards/depts as required in accordance with the Trust agreed input/download timetable. Ensures stock is maintained at the appropriate level using hand held data capture devices and the putting away of stock to agreed standards, keeping ward store rooms tidy.
Assist in the ongoing management, maintenance development & review of ward/dept materials management systems/stock
Provide customer services function to users in all aspects of NHSSC/local stock. Giving guidance, advice and resolving their problems and queries. Liaising with NHSSC as necessary including; Customer services, Transport, I.T, Account Manager.
Establish and maintain transfer point catalogue profiles and optimum stock levels.
Carry out review of material management stock levels with users.

Assist with the ongoing roll out of supply chain solo system to end users and the ongoing system maintenance of the solo and e-dc systems.
Assist in the management of stock held in stores including the issuing of local stock, reordering of stock and the recording of issues on the relevant spreadsheet/system.
Assist in the management of the forms management system including liaising with the supplier and end users regarding print requirements.
Receipt of goods and services onto oracle system as required.
To work within the goods/receipts /stores area including; the opening of boxes/parcels to check goods, checking delivery notes, receipt onto Oracle, distribution of goods around the hospital, receipt and checking of NHSSC deliveries, issue and ordering of items for GP Courier service, organising safety testing of any electrical or electro medical goods.
