Job summary

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual to join the Pharmacy Aseptics team at Harrogate hospital. Working alongside fellow Support Workers, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists you will play an integral part in the supply of high risk injectable medicines to the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre and to our Medical Day Unit. You will have the opportunity to contribute to achieving our Team Vision, 'Providing Quality Aseptic Services to Ensure Safe and Effective Patient Care' and to do this you will need to be a good team player and have a real desire to improve patient experience.

An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is desirable, though the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain this qualification in the first few months in the role.

Main duties of the job

  • To maintain strict standards of cleanliness in cleanrooms by ensuring all cleaning procedures are performed on a daily basis
  • Submit orders and check and receive stock on delivery
  • Carry out stock checks to ensure all stock is accounted for and that stock is appropriately rotated to reduce the risk of waste
  • Participate in the weekend, late night and bank holiday rota on a rotational basis
