Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join our busy therapy rotation which currently includes orthopaedics (trauma and elective), stroke, acute admitting wards, frailty wards, rehabilitation beds, admission avoidance and virtual beds.
This is an ideal opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in both acute and community settings. The main duties and responsibilities of the role will be to manage a caseload, using evidence based practice and client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

Main duties of the job
This position will include, carrying variable clinical caseloads according to the speciality, providing occupational therapy assessments i.e. addressing occupational therapy performance, skills deficits, enabling self-maintenance, cognitive rehabilitation, productivity and leisure, developing a treatment plan and carrying out appropriate interventions.

Good time management skills, organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure are essential requirements to this post, along with being an effective communicator and flexible thinker.
The post holder will have access to peer support and professional development and will contribute to the development of Therapy Assistants and Students when on placement. Participation on the trusts weekend and 7 day rotas is an integral part of the post.
