OSCE Preparation Open Day

Job summary

Boost your confidence and sharpen your clinical skills with our dedicated OSCE Preparation Day, designed specifically for student midwives preparing for interview-based OSCE assessments. This interactive, hands-on session gives you the chance to practise real OSCE stations in a supportive, low-pressure environment that mirrors the structure and expectations of midwifery interview assessments.

We are holding open days on the following dates -

YORK - 1st June 2026 - York and Scarborough NHS Trust Recruitment Event

Scarborough - 3rd June 2026 -York and Scarborough NHS Trust Recruitment Event

Throughout the day, you'll rotate through a series of timed stations covering key midwifery scenarios. Experienced facilitators will guide you through each station, offering constructive feedback, practical tips, and insights into what interview panels are looking for.

By the end of the session, you'll feel more prepared, more confident, and better equipped to showcase your abilities on interview day.

Main duties of the job

What you'll gain:

  • Realistic OSCE practice in a safe, supportive setting
  • Feedback to help refine your technique and communication
  • Strategies for staying calm, focused, and effective under timed conditions
  • A clearer sense of what to expect during midwifery interview OSCEs

Please note that this is for third year student midwives only. A priority will be given to student midwives who have trained within the Trust and extra spaces will be allocated to those who trained outside the Trust on a first come first serve basis.
