Data Technician - Theatres, Anaesthetics and Critical Care (TACC)

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity available available for a Data Technician in our Theatres team.

The successful candidate will have experience in data collection, analysis and have the appropriate skills to produce and maintain reports from Trust systems. You will demonstrate your attention to detail, check accuracy of your reporting, and will be able to present complex data in an easily understandable format.

The successful candidate will be able to chose their Hospital Site as a working base.

Main duties of the job

The Data Technician reports to the Operational Management team for all the duties and responsibilities stated on the job description as well as any other duties required within reason, as assigned by the management and Clinical Team, with a dotted line to the Insight and Intelligence Team for career development.

You will be expected to use data from multiple sources and provide key insights and decision-making information for clinical and operational activities within the Directorate.

It is the responsibility of the Data Technician to communicate effectively and frequently with the clinical and management team.

  • Previous experience of presenting complex data in a user-friendly format

Desirable

  • Extended experience of working in a healthcare of similar administrative environment
  • Exceptional negotiating skills, with the ability to influence others

Experience and Knowledge

  • Production of key performance indicator reports
  • Experience of presenting complex data in a user-friendly format
  • Thorough Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel creation/manipulation of pivot tables/charts
