Our Departments Are Changing - We have a new interactive simulation room for Anaesthetics and surgical scenario training. We have planned in house simulation training every month which includes anaphylaxis, paediatric emergencies and major haemorrhage and includes all members of the MDT.

Qualifications

Essential

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration (Level 1) or qualified Operating Department Practitioner with HPC registration or Anaesthetic Nurse (ENB 182/183 or equivalent)

• Teaching qualification

Experience

• Previous theatre experience at Band 5

Knowledge

Essential

• Demonstrate awareness of current issues in health care

Desirable

• Demonstrate awareness of theatre specialty, and/or specific needs of patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Demonstrates awareness of evidence based practice within a Theatre environment
• Demonstrates understanding of Health and Safety / COSHH
