York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

BadgerNet Neonatal Digital Nurse

The closing date is 29 June 2025

Job summary

The world of Digital Health is expanding and evolving. It is high on the priority list in National agendas and locally for us in York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

With support from Frontline Digitalisation, we plan to radically change the Organisation's digital landscape and implement the new BadgerNet Neonatal Electronic Patient record (EPR). We are wondering if you would like to be involved in possibly the biggest transformational programme this Organisation will undertake for Neonatal care this decade.

You will be part of a Clinical Digital Change Team which will be pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing the new badgerNet neonatal EPR. This will be an opportunity to transform the quality of care for our patients and revolutionise the working day for our colleagues utilising digital systems.

The BadgerNet Neonatal Digital Nurse is an entirely new role that is being created as part of the EPR programme. The aim of the role is to support our strategic priorities and bring energy and passion for delivering results that make a difference to our patients and the care we provide. It is an opportunity to embrace truly unique and transformative working ways and environments.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone with a background as a Registered Nurse, with recent neonatal experience to join the dynamic Digital and Information Services team. This will be a cross site secondment until 31st March 2026 in accordance with the programme schedule. We hope for someone who has clinical process awareness, which will enable them to contribute high quality clinical guidance, supporting the development and delivery of the collaborative EPR programme.

We aspire for the BadgerNet Neonatal EPR Digital Nurse to be an advocate for clinical staff working within Child Health departments across the organisation, ensuring best practice through the adoption of digital solutions, to enhance patient experience and quality of care. The role will foster clinical engagement and transformation within the programme workstreams and will support patient involvement, system training and education, whilst ensuring clinical safety throughout.

This position serves as a fundamental resource for designing, implementing, and optimising configuration, workflows, and system functionalities. This will help us to improve usability and efficiency of the Trust's clinical systems, tools, and healthcare solutions, supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
