Paediatric Ward Clerk

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Child Health team as a Ward Clerk.

As a Ward Clerk, you will be responsible for a range of clerical and reception based duties within the Children's Wards. Your role will involve working closely with the clinical team, providing essential support, and assisting patients and their families with inquiries. The role is fast-paced and rewarding, offering you the opportunity to make a real difference in the hospital environment.

In addition to supporting the Children's Wards, you will also provide clerical support across the wider Child Health department. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a busy and dynamic hospital setting, with opportunities for professional development and access to the range of staff incentives that come with being part of the NHS.

The duties of this role include being a first point of contact for patients and visitors to the ward, undertaking Clerical tasks, organising transport for patients ordering suppliesand eventually helping to develop new or less experienced staff.
