We have an opportunity to join the York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals Specialist Midwives as theLead Midwife for Diabetes in Pregnancy
The post holder will support the national ambition to implement Maternal Medicine Networks and Preterm Birth Prediction, Preparation and Prevention. This midwife will embed into the MDT and embrace their autonomy and specialised knowledge.
An understanding of national and local drivers will mean the postholder is active in education and keen to contribute to clinical and managerial service development.

Main duties of the job
A lead clinician with families at the heart of your service, you will work as part of the MDT to deliver evidence based, personalised care to drive our safety agenda.

- Communicate complex information effectively, clearly, and accurately in plain simple language, both verbally and in writing to a range of audiences

- Post graduate Midwifery experience as a Band 6 midwife
- Knowledge of current and emerging NHS strategy and policy
