A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Department team at York Hospital. We are looking for both full and part time candidates and the roles are pivotal in the running of a fast paced and busy environment both supporting the nursing staff and providing care for children of all ages .
As our service as a 24/7 service, you will be required to work long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
You must be able to commit to our Full Time HCSW Academy for the first 4 weeks of your employment with our Trust. Please note our HCSW Academy takes place at our training site in Holgate, York. We are unable to provide travel options or reimburse travel costs for attendance at this.

Main duties of the job
Provide support to the registered nurses in patient care, including but not limited to performing observations and running diagnostics tests.
Provide a level of assurance to families using the department with effective communication and support being provided.
Helping to ensure all assurance checks are performed to maintain patient safety as well as ensuring the department always meets expected levels of cleanliness.
We have part time and full time positions available. Experience in Paediatric hospital setting is desirable but not essential as full training and competency package will be provided.
