Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cellular Pathology Office at York Hospital.
You will be managing a team of secretarial and admin staff and ensuring the smooth running of this busy office on a day to day basis.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for line managing a team of secretarial and administrative staff. This will include a combination of acting as an a panel member for recruitment, conducting appraisals, dealing with the initial or subsequent stages of disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence and performance issues.
You will also manage the office workflow and workload to enable continuation of the service daily. Interacting with colleagues and providing admin services such as meeting minutes, communication with the wider teams, in particular liaising with the MDT coordinators and any other ad-hoc duties that may be required.
