Job summary

Hours: Part time or Full time hours considered

Contract type: Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 months

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated ProjectManager to join our Corporate Operations Programme Management Office, to support the delivery of our ambitious Unscheduled Care Improvement Programme, including the development of integrated assessment at York Hospital. This is a 12 month post based in York (with some requirement to travel between sites).

Main duties of the job

The post holder will join an established programme management office and will work closely with the programme lead and Clinical and Operational Teams.

The post holder will be responsible for the overall the successful management of projects focusing on unscheduled care and improving patient flow.

The successful applicant will have experience of service development andproject management, managing and delivering change effectively on complex projects. They should be motivated to function independently, using initiative to manage their own workload without close supervision to work to agreed deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to motivate, negotiate and influence on complex and sensitive projects with others, at a strategic level.

  • Project Management knowledge, either acquired through a postgraduate diploma or via experience of managing and completing complex projects

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of service development and project management in specialist area
  • Experience and competent in using word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software
  • Experience of managing and delivering change effectively on complex projects

  • Experience of working in a NHS acute hospital and / or community
