Job summary

Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge?

Nelsons Court Ward is looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in an exciting new role, as a patient services Assistant (PSA).

The PSA has a direct role in working closely with the healthcare staff to facilitate a number of ward processes and tasks, which includes: preparing bed spaces for admissions, assisting patients with menu completion, administering patient drinks amongst other tasks.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to drive forward care provision with a passion and commitment to improving patient experience. The successful candidate will be a team player, with a strong desire to provide compassionate care and empower others, within a friendly and supportive environment.

You must also be able to demonstrate good communication skills as you will be working closely and building effective relationships with colleagues from other healthcare professions. Previous experience in care provision or hospital based domestic services is desirable but training in the role will be provided and on-going training and advice are available from our experienced and supportive team.

  • Willingness to complete appropriate qualifications for work related training

  • Basic understanding of infection control and Knowledge of NHS & Local Trust

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Previous experience of working with people
