Job summary
We are looking for a Diabetes/Endocrinology Consultant to join a team of consultants, specialist nurses and fully functional wider MDT, supported by input from all associated specialties..
The post holder will join a team of 4 existing consultants and will be based at the purpose-built Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology at York Hospital. The population served is approximately 300,000 and the service is supported by a comprehensive Diabetes and Endocrinology MDT.
We have a commissioned and fully operational Community Diabetes Service and the post holder will play an integral part in the delivery of this service alongside our nursing, dietetic, podiatry and psychology colleagues.
Main duties of the job
Applicants must possess MRCP or equivalent and be fully registered with the GMC and hold a license to practice. Applicants must have entry on the GMC Specialist Register for GIM, Endocrinology and Diabetes via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 12 months of the interview date), CESR or European Community Rights.
