Job summary

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic bank audiologists to our team at York and Scarborough Audiology Services

The Audiology department provides clinics within the York and Selby area as well as at several sites along the beautiful coastline of North Yorkshire.

The successful person/s must have relevant Band 5 experience of 2 years or more and ahve gained experience in adult audiology and paedaitric testing of children over the age of 3 years

Main duties of the job

To provide audiological cover for ENT clinics both for adults, consisting of basic pure tone audiometry, tympanometry and speech audiometry as required. Provide a comprehensive hearing aid service to patients referred to the Department from GPs and the ENT Department, including provision of a full range of NHS digital hearing aids. To recommend more complex assessments (OAE, obscure auditory dysfunction testing, vestibular assessment, ERA and Tinnitus Assessments/rehabilitation) and perform these as trained appropriately.

Paediatric experience in testing children over the age of 3 years

To take aural impressions for all age groups working within national and departmental protocols and using own clinical judgement to ensure safe and competent practice. Participate in departmental audit, research and development.
