Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible R&D Assistant to contribute to an efficient and effective service within a busy Research and Development environment.
The role is primarily based in York Hospital with a requirement to work at Scarborough Hospital as and when required. You will work to departmental procedures and Good Clinical Practice standards, receiving, maintaining and providing manual and electronic data containing sensitive and confidential information.
For the right candidate, this post offers varied duties, an opportunity to acquire knowledge about the conduct of clinical trials and the satisfaction of making a real contribution to Clinical Research.

Main duties of the job
Clinical Trials require very careful administration that is subject to external inspection. Therefore, for this job you must be well organised, thorough and attentive to detail.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, and be effective in prioritising workloads, with a flexible approach - as part of the role you will be supporting colleagues in different research specialties. The work is varied, including producing and sending out standard letters, scanning, retrieval and/or uploading of files, ordering of stock and supplies and inputting data into computerised databases.
