Job summary

The Cardio-Respiratory department offers a full range of invasive and non-invasive tests, including ECG, Ambulatory monitoring, exercise testing, Pacemaker implant and follow up (including brady and complex devices), diagnostic Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Echocardiography (including Stress and Transoesophageal Echocardiography).

We are looking for someone to work within our Echocardiography service. The successful candidate will ideally be able to scan independently and be working towards their BSE accreditation. A good amount of experience in Echocardiography is required as a minimum. They will also work in tape analysis and as a 2nd in Stress Echocardiography and TOE lists. The Echocardiography department scans 10,000 patients a year. We also have an established scientist led Valve Clinic, Stress Echocardiography service and Paediatric service.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Cardiac Physiologist. Applicants should have either a degree in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent, or are currently studying on a Scientist training Programme - entering their final year of study.
