An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Radiology Services Administrator role to join our busy and friendly administrative team. This is a fast-paced role that will require problem solving and excellent communication skills. It will be essential that the post holder is an organised individual, team player as well as work on their own initiative. You will also need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues and respond to queries in a professional manner. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Radiology team to assist in administration and clerical duties for all patient pathways.
The hours of work will be between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Various shifts available and will be on a rota so flexibility will be required.

Main duties of the job
To maintain patient confidentiality at all times following the Trust guidelines.To manage patients through Radiology administrative processes and pathways in accordance with SOP`s (Standard Operating Procedures).To receive and accurately process any diary cancellations ensuring patients are supported by the Referral to Treatment Guidelines and departmental booking rules are followed.
Collecting and recording data to support waiting list time's attainment and highlighting breach patients to the Line Manager/Service Manager.Escalate where appropriate patients who will breach maximum waiting times or cannot be booked within vetting instructions.
Ensure all patients who fail to attend, DNA (Did not attend) their appointments are followed up in accordance with the departmental DNA SOP.
To recognise any problems and take appropriate action to rectify, using own initiative ensuring patient receive a high quality service.
To assist in any monitoring activity as directed by your Line Manager/Service Manager.
Ability to priorities day-to-day workflow, acting independently and unsupervised within departmental guidelines.Ability to make adjustments to planned lists at short notice overbooking/rescheduling where necessary.
Diary management to ensure all scheduled sessions are fully utilised.Responsible for maintaining stock control of stationary and office equipment.
To complete any other administrative or clerical duties which may be required as part of the post.
