Job summary

We are looking to recruit capable, helpful, self-motivated and enthusiastic administrator who will be a key team member in providing support to all teams within the Digital and Information Service.

This role has a dual focus to assist with general office administration duties and providing administrative procurement support for the IT equipment and you will need to be flexible in order to deal with changing priorities and have a "can do" attitude.

Applicants must be educated to GCSE Level or equivalent, Maths and English at C or above - or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience and, have a minimum of 6 months experience in admin support role and have an interest in working as part of the team in the Healthcare environment.

Successful candidate will have excellent communications skills, face to face and over the telephone, exceptional administration and organisational skills, good data inputting, prioritisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to use your own initiative and work in a busy and fast paced environment.

You will be enthusiastic to learn new tasks. We would expect that you demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to work with limited supervision, but to have confidence to seek advice when appropriate. Advanced IT skills are essential, including use of Word, Outlook and Excel.

Main duties of the job

The general responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • First point of contact for all admin/purchasing queries;
  • General office administration duties - data recording, scheduling meetings, room bookings, filing, stationary orders;
  • Obtaining quotes for all IT equipment;
  • Raising requisitions;
  • Ensuring document management occurs at all stages of the procurement process, including dealing with invoices;
  • Dealing with a large volume of deliveries and moving stock items to the various locations of the Trust;
  • Stock management;
  • Mobile phone orders - new and upgrades.

The role is office based with no option for home working.
