Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic , motivated individual with an interest in nurse education and training to join our Clinical Educator team.

The successful candidate will be working with the Senior Clinical Educator and associate to facilitate and support a culture of evidence based practise and staff progression for general medicine at Scarborough Hospital.

The post holder will need to show good communication and teamwork skills while being able to work on their own projects and developments. They must have excellent teaching and assessing skills and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of clinical development in nursing practise.

Main duties of the job

  • To develop and deliver education plans , competency based training programmes and support activities relating to clinical nurse education, training and development, and multi professional team working.
  • Collect, evaluate and analyse data, and make judgements on the clinical implications of the evidence and writing relevant reports and presentations in order to initiate change and service improvement.

  • Recognised teaching certificate or equivalent experience
  • Educated to degree level Evidence of CPD relevant to current role
  • Willing to undergo training as necessary to undertake role
