Job summary

We are looking to expand our Workforce Systems team, as we develop our e-services across York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful applicant will join the Workforce Systems team in providing a service across all Trust sites, which covers an employee workforce of almost 10,000 people. The work covered in this role will prove to be varied and plentiful, as we continue expanding our services and streamlining through ongoing project work.

The post holder will exercise the highest degree of confidentiality in regard to the sensitive personal data on Trust e-systems. Previous experience in e-systems work within a healthcare setting is desirable, although comprehensive training will be provided upon commencement.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties Include

Supporting the maintenance of a range of workforce systems used across the organisation, which includes the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system.

The post holder will have responsibility for;

  • accurate systems data entry,
  • amendments to coding errors,
  • the production of reports,
  • setting up new systems users,
  • facilitating in the safeguarding of access levels,
  • and liaising effectively with all service users.

The post holder will be a flexible team player with the ability to organise and prioritise their workload.

  • Use of Advanced Excel for complex reporting

  • Previous experience of system data input
  • Previous use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in use of computers or specialised software systems to update, record and store data sets
  • Experience in the production and distribution of reports (either routine or ad hoc in nature)
  • Understanding of the principles relating to the Data Protection Act 2018
  • Understanding of confidentiality
  • Understanding of safeguarding measures to protect sensitive and personal data
