Job summary
To provide an evening reception service to Bridges Clinic - Private Patients at Bedford Hospital South Wing.
Main duties of the job
1. Administration of the private patient registration / Payments
2. Communicating with patients
3. Ensuring all data is recorded and processed correctly on the relevant Trust IT systems
4. Communicating with relevant hospital departments
5. Liaising with the private medical insurers

To ensure all data and documentation in relation to Private Patients is filed in accordance with Trust Policy.
To provide an efficient and effective clinical administration service to the department, consultants and designated medical staff. Be first point of contact for the patient, consultants and clinical teams.
To attend to patients, colleagues and referrers to the service, both in person and by email or on the telephone, promptly and courteously at all times and be a worthy front-line representative of the high quality service.
Be fully conversant with Insurance Companies regarding pre-authorisation of treatment, continuation of cover and price agreements and ensure that these are applied.
