Job summary
The Trust Induction Lead and Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and delivering a high-quality induction programme for all new staff joining the organisation. This role ensures that new employees are welcomed effectively, receive the necessary training, and integrate smoothly into the trust's culture and values. Additionally, the role involves supervising members of the Training and Learning Team to ensure an exceptional customer service is provided and that the team are managed effectively.
Main duties of the job
The primary objective of the Trust Induction Lead and Supervisor is to ensure that all new staff members across the organisation experience a consistent, high-quality onboarding process that reflects the Trust's values, culture, and expectations. The role is central to promoting a positive first impression, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring that statutory, mandatory, and organisational requirements are met from the outset.
This position serves a dual purpose: firstly, to lead, develop, and manage the Trust's corporate induction programme, ensuring it remains relevant, engaging, and compliant with all internal and external regulations; and secondly, to provide supervisory support and direction to the Training and Learning Team. By maintaining high standards in induction and training delivery, the role contributes directly to staff retention, performance, and overall organisational effectiveness.
Key to this role is a proactive approach to continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and effective communication to ensure that new employees feel supported, well-informed, and empowered as they begin their careers within the Trust.
