Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated midwife to join our leadership team as a the Clinical Lead for Antenatal Newborn Screening and Fetal Medicine working at both our Luton and Dunstable, and Bedford Hospital sites of Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a progressivetime for our cross site maternity services that provide maternity care for 9000 women per year. We are progressing our delivery of our 2024-2029 Maternity Strategy, which sees the commencement of a new digital Electronic Programme Record system in 2025 and, on our Luton site we prepare for our upcoming move into the brand new maternity facilities in the Autumn of 2025. Luton has a high level comprehensive service including an Obstetric physician, Fetal medicine Unit and a Level 3 NICU. We have a wonderful team of medical, midwifery, nursingand support worker and MNVP colleagues all working together to deliver safe, responsive and effective care to those who use our services.

Youwillhave a proven track recordas a compassionateleader able to deliver all the elements of the portfolio as a matron.

  • oImplementing complex change in a clinical setting
  • oKnowledge of current developments in nursing and the NHS
