An exciting new opportunity to join the Primrose Unit as a Nursing Associate is available.
You will have a supervisory and clinical role within the Primrose Unit under the supervision of a registered nurse delivering care to patients undergoing systemic anti cancer treatment (SACT).
Main duties of the job
You will need to be able to organise and prioritise effectively, demonstrating sound clinical skills and excellent communication skills to meet the following duties:
- To lead, supervise, support and work with the existing team of clinical support workers
- To oversee the smooth running of outpatient oncology clinics
- To undertake and manage PICC/PORT Clinics
- Administer SC /IM medications.

- To provide skilled nursing care under the supervision of the nurse providing care, undertaking routine and specifically identified tasks. This will include but is not limited to patient observation, phlebotomy, urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring and, ECGs, scalp cooling, removal peripheral cannulas.
