Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for the clinical and operational performance of Imaging Services within the Trust. The post holder will organise, direct and evaluate all aspects of the Imaging Service and deputise for the Senior Imaging Team as required.
In addition to leadership and management, the post holder will retain a practicing knowledge of at least one modality and a radiography theoretical or practicing knowledge in the other modalities.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering Keogh standards for 7 day access to diagnostics and to support the Trust strategy to provide access to diagnostics at the time of need to deliver optimum hyper-acute care.
The post holder will ensure compliance with clinical governance ensuring an effective framework is developed and will take part in any inspection requested by statutory bodies such as Health and Safety or CQC.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for providing the full range of imaging services ensuring there is safe and resilient 24hour radiographic cover for the department, meeting the immediate and future needs of all service users. The Imaging Operational Manager will provide specialist radiographic expertise and be responsible for the operational management of the imaging service. This will encompass Main & A&E X-Ray, CT, MRI, General and Maternity Ultrasound, DEXA scanning, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional and Cardiac Suites.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for service improvement and implement changes to enhance the delivery of imaging services, utilising feedback from service users and staff.

Staff Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development among imaging staff, providing training opportunities and support for professional growth.
