We are a very busy customer orientated service based at Bedford Hospital South Wing. We are small friendly team and are looking to recruit a new member to join us.
The role of the Staffing Solutions Administrator is to support wards and departments in providing high quality essential patient care by ensuring that shifts and assignments designated for temporary staffing are booked appropriately and efficiently in line with Trust policies and procedures.
You will have the ability to work well within a team, demonstrate strong customer service skills and a supportive approach, be able to effectively communicate confidently with people both face to face and over the phone and thrive in a fast paced and busy work environment. You will need to be able to prioritise work loads and adapt to changing situations, ensuring all the team is updated. Good communication is essential.
This post is full time, office based. Monday to Friday shifts between the hours of 08.30 - 17.00 and possibly some weekends.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a pro-active and effective, customer focused service, which is carried out in accordance with agreed processes, schedules, legislative requirements and Trust policy and in line with NHS Employment Check Standards and Agenda for Change.
To book and organise bank and agency workers throughout The Trust, ensuring shifts and assignments are booked appropriately and efficiently in line with Trust policies and procedures.
Duties will include:
- Assigning workers registered with the Trust bank to vacant shifts on an E-Rostering system.
- Maintaining up to date bank worker details on an E-Rostering system and recording the availability of said workers.
- Monitoring an E-Rostering system and bank worker availability to match up workers with shifts needing cover.
- Liaising with managers and delegated clinical staff to identify priority areas requiring cover and taking relevant action to cover vacant shifts. Attend daily staffing meeting.
- Compile staffing reports daily.
- Supporting workers registered with the Trust bank with general enquiries and pay queries.
- Administer the registering of internal permanent staff on to the Bank.
- Uniform ordering and invoice checking.
- Ensuring all paperwork and contact details are relevant and up to date.

- Monitor statutory training of all bank workers and ensure this is kept up to date.
- Audit Bank worker files and records on a regular basis.
- Help and advise bank workers and managers with enquiries and issues that might arise including matters regarding bank worker terms and conditions, pay and recruitment.
