Job summary
The postholder will work with the Medical Director and Revalidation team to support with the systems and processes that are in place for Medical and Dental Appraisal, Revalidation and supporting the Revalidation Support Officer with the work of the Responsible Officer. They will support with the updating of the systems and with providing a robust monitoring of all relevant activity in line with national requirements on both the Bedford and Luton and Dunstable Hospital sites.
Main duties of the job
- Support with maintaining and developing of existing systems and processes to meet Trust requirements.
- Support on the development of the Medical and Dental Appraisal System.
- Support the Revalidation Officer to maintain the progress reports for Appraisal and Revalidation.
- The post holder will also support the general Medical Workforce team with administration duties.

- Act as one of the points of contact in relation to Appraisal and Revalidation initial enquiries. This will involve responding to queries as appropriate from a range of stakeholders i.e. Medical Director, Clinical Directors, Clinical Leads and Medical Workforce staff.
- Help to ensure that the Appraisal Calendar is completed within an agreed timeframe, liaising with approved appraisers across all services.
- Assist in the organising of all aspects of event management i.e. training, visits, meetings and conferences.
