Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Medical Education Manager to support the provision of a high quality, comprehensive service for the delivery of medical and dental education function across the Luton & Dunstable Hospital. This post will be based in the medical education centre, COMET.

You will work closely with the Deputy Director of Medical Education (DDME), the Lead Medical Education Manager (LMEM) and a committed team of programme directors, education leads, supervisors, trainees and students to maintain and further develop our high-quality training offer.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will encompass the overall management, planning, delivery and evaluation of medical and dental education events, including inductions, professional teaching activities, skills training as well as projects and assessments as directed by the DDME and LMEM from time to time. The postholder will also have responsibility for the line management and development of the administration team.

You will be a confident, forward-thinking, responsive professional with a commitment to providing a high quality service whilst maintaining a 'client focused' approach that upholds exceptional customer service standards. You will be able to foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders with your excellent communication and negotiation skills to enhance the delivery of medical education services. Your IT skills will be excellent, and you will have good time management skills with the ability to plan and deliver on time.
